My Award Winning Images
Here is a collection of my Award Winning Images from the Guild of Photographers. All photos are subject to copyright and remain the intellectual property of Karen Brammer.
Macro Images: All of these images have been taken using a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 100mm f2.8 L series Macro lens. All are handheld and no focus stacking or freezing of the insects has occurred. All images taken in Bedfordshire by Karen Brammer. I am delighted to have won my highest ever award to date, a Gold for my Bee on a Rudbeckia Flower in my garden. This image was shortlisted for the International Image of the Year for the Guild of Photographers, out of 13,000 images it made the final 12. All images taken in Bedfordshire by Karen Brammer.
Equine: This is my Silver Award winning image of a stunning horse called Finn. He was a fantastic horse to photograph, very calm and not at all intimidated by the camera. I used a Canon 5D Mark III camera with a Canon EF 70mm-200mm f2.8 L telephoto lens to capture this image. All images taken in Bedfordshire by Karen Brammer.
Portraits: These are all taken using natural lighting and converted to Monochrome as I felt that this brought out the features of the face very well. Taken with a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon 16-35mm f2.8 L series lens and a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 L series lens. All images taken in Bedfordshire, Herefordshire and Oxfordshire by Karen Brammer.
Sportraits: These are a collection of my Sports Photos that I have created into dynamic pieces of digital artwork which I term Sportraits. I love how different they are to a typical action photo. All images by Karen Brammer.
Landscapes: These images were taken in Wales and Suffolk using a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon 16-35mm f2.8 L series lens. All images by Karen Brammer.
Water Sports: This image was taken at Box End Water Park in Bedfordshire. This is a purpose built facility for Wakeboarding. Taken using a Canon 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 70mm - 200mm f2.8 L series lens. Image by Karen Brammer.
Mountain Biking: These images were taken at Swinley Forest in Berkshire as part of the Winter Series Cross Country discipline. Steam Engines: These Engines were captured at a steam Fair and locally on a Road Run in Bedfordshire. Both are in great working condition and a bygone way of life. Images by Karen Brammer.
